I’m Ishita Gupta—a software engineer and creator of thefinancialhygiene.

While software engineering has been my core profession, personal finance has long been a deep, standalone interest. To bridge the two, I took dedicated time to study financial planning formally, clearing all four levels of the CFP curriculum, and applied my engineering background to design interactive, math-driven tools.

The Financial Hygiene platform provides tools and knowledge designed to go deeper than standard financial content. My belief is that concepts and products are two different things, and you must understand the math of the concept to make smart decisions with the product.

The outputs of these tools serve as inputs for your real-world decisions. I believe that the right math makes a difference, and my mission is to give you accurate data to achieve financial clarity, confidence, and control.

For now, the idea is to help you understand the concept, test it with your own numbers, and carry that understanding to apply structured thinking to your finances.

Looking ahead, I am actively preparing to transition into a fee-only financial advisory role. My goal is to provide purely unbiased advice—free from commissions, product sales, or hidden incentives—so that every piece of guidance is solely aligned with your best interests.
